I made some progress this week, then backslid, and now I am pretty much where I was last Friday morning. I hate this! All this effort, and not really getting anywhere. Of course, the good thing is that the weights I am upset with are in the 180’s, not the 190’s, so yes, overall I’ve made progress, but not really this week.
Of course, here come the excuses: this morning I feel all bloated, and it’s either because my period is due in a few days, or because I had linguini for dinner last night. I think it might be due to both. So…are these excuses, or reasons? Well, there was no excuse for eating linguini. That’s my fault. Can’t do anything about the period, except go thru it, get thru it, and lower weights should be on the other side.
But this has been an important reminder about carbs. When I lost all that weight a couple of years ago, the way I recall it, bread and noodles were barely present in my diet. I just kind of cut them out, for the most part. I think I really need to keep that in mind again. The focus needs to be on fruits and veggies. That’s when I do my best.
Also, as I recall, when I was losing all that weight last time, I was also eating a lot of salmon. Got to go shopping and get some good salmon!
Anyway, the plan for tonight, our Friday night eating out, is to go up to the mall (we have some things to do there) and then eat either at the Appleby’s or the Food Court. Appleby’s, of course, has those wonderful Weight Water meals, and in the Food Court there is a Wendy’s where I can get a salad. So hopefully I will get thru this Friday night without doing too much more damage.
And now, off to work, where I shall drink copious amounts of water!
Some days you have bad days, but it will come off.
