Writer’s Block: How I got on LJ

Mary introduced me to LJ. It was several years ago, back when I was still very new to the internet, and I found it just fascinating that there might be a place where I could keep a journal of my thoughts that other people could actually see and comment on. Of course, as far as this journal goes, for a very long time Mary was the only one who ever really read it or commented on it. It was kind of funny, actually, because we both lived in the same house, so there was no reason in the world why we couldn’t just TALK to each other, and of course we did that too, lots—but since we are both writers, we also enjoyed the experience of reading and commenting in someone else’s journal.

Even now, as much as I love it when I get comments from other people, even if I don’t get any comments, I still like to put down my thoughts in an organized manner. I often wish I had more time for LiveJournal. On occassion, writing here has really helped me to sort things out. And sometimes, it’s just simply been a lot of fun.
