BACK TO THE EGG – ACCOUNTABILITY

I’m excited because this past week I’ve begun to once again make serious strides towards losing weight and getting healthy. I have a number of strategies I’m using, some old, and some new. One of my strategies, in order to help keep myself “honest,” is to re-activate my old LJ, Back To The Egg, where I like to keep track of my weight loss/health improvement progress.

It’s been a real on again/off again thing over the last several years. Well, I’m “on” again, and I invite anyone who is reading here to visit that journal at any time to see how I’m doing, if you’re interested in that kind of thing.

Hopefully it will serve as an encouragement to me to know that there MIGHT be other people in the world keeping track of how I’m doing. When you fail silently, that’s one thing, but no one wants to fail publicly. This strategy is all about accountability.

To see how I’m progressing with my Get Healthy Goals, please visit me at:

And please feel free to comment, either here or there. I need all the encouragement I can get! 🙂

Hi Chris, something I found helpful when eating at a fast food place is to have the side salad and then a piece of protein. I ordered a small hamburger then ate only the meat throwing the bun out. If you want you can squeese the burger in a napkin to get out the extra grease. I need protein to keep the hunger pains away. Remember on the weight watchers we were very limited as to the amount of bread we could have and that diet worked just great. Mom

  2. Yes, I remember that. I also remember that when I lost 25-30 pounds back in 2005, I almost never ate bread. So I’m taking it easy with bread. I think especially the WHITE bread of burger buns cannot be good for you!

I also like your idea about “squeezing” the burger in a napkin. I’ve never done that, but I think I will in the future!
