I totally agree with C.S. Lewis – Read Genesis 2:7 “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostirls the breath of life, and mand BECAME a living soul.” Notice he did not receive a soul, he became a living soul. Did you know that no where in the Bible does it say that the sould is immortal but just the opposite? EZEKIEL: 18:20…”The soul that sinneth, it shall die”. Matthew 10:28…”Fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”. Timothy 6:16…Talking about God, it says “who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach”. Corinthians 15:51…”Behold, I show you a mystery we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed, for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality”. Notice it’s only the righteous at the resurrection that become immortal.
