This weekend the movie The Avengers is coming out, and as big fans of Marvel Comics, Russ and I are of course planning to go see it. In preparation for the big event, we decided to have a mini movie marathon leading up to the new film, so we’ve been watching one of the films feeding into The Avengers each night. There are five in total, and so far we’ve watched three. We should be good and ready by the time the new movie comes out on Friday.

Tonight we watched Thor, which I think is the best of the bunch. This movie is so visually beautiful, and so epic! The scenes in Asgard, in particular, are almost Shakespearian. I can’t wait to write all about it more fully in my movie review. But that will have to wait until tomorrow. I wish I had the energy to stay up all night, but right now it’s getting late now, and time for bed!
