TOTALLY RANDOM BUFFYNESS

As I’ve been watching Buffy lately, I’ve been taking “Notes” in Outlook as things occur to me. Below please find my random notes. They may amuse. And if you can shed any light on any of my questions, please feel free!

  1. When they tortured Giles, they found out that Angel’s blood was the only one that could open or close the vortex. So that’s why she killed him, but couldn’t she just have cut him a little? Maybe it was too late, or she didn’t want to run the risk of it failing.

Hehe, and I love “wackiness ensues”. Spike cracks me up. ^_^

Why a cage in the library? To lock up warewolf Oz, of course! And all the other crazy creatures they encounter. Maybe Giles special ordered it…you know, instead of a new set of encyclopedias. πŸ˜‰

    What’s ~You’ll see what I mean~

And I think a book could be made from Spike’s lines alone, he’s hilarious!

And yes, she killed him because only his blood would close the vortex. And she killed him instead of cutting him because it’s more dramatic that way.

    • Spoken like a true writer.

      Thank you for those insights.

“You’ll see what I mean” is what the demon Whistler says at the end of part one of Becoming. And I guess we do see, but w Buffy, there’s always so much more to see.

    Library Cage

It’s not all that unusual for *college* libraries to have cages, to house their rare books collections. Presumably, Giles would have needed a cage to restrict access to any rare books that he might have brought with him from that “British museum” gig (cf., “Welcome to the Hellmouth”).

Of course, the real reason for the cage, pre-Oz, is that’s where the weapons are kept.
