I made myself a promise to come here every day and write something, even if it is just one sentence. I’m not keeping up with that very well, am I? Well, today, I have just written a few sentences, and now here are a few more:

Did you ever have one of those dreams where you are trying to move, maybe even run away from something, but somehow no matter how much you exert yourself, you can barely make any progress at all? There is a tremendous amount of effort, and hardly any results.

That’s how life has felt for me these last several weeks. I’m so tired of January.

I havent had the not being able to move experience but I have had the not being able to scream fright. When something so dreadfully scary happens to you that you are almost paralyzed and all you want to do is scream but nothing comes out. I have found myself on occasion literally vocalizing unts and grunts in my sleep that have woken me up only to realize that I still havent screamed. Very frightening if you think about it. almost as if you were in a coma- can see and experience everything but your body doesnt respond. Luckily this doesnt happen all that often. I am a very sound good sleeper. They say as you get older that changes. We shall see.

This sounds similar to what I’m talking about. I also find that I go through spells where I have LOTS and LOTS of vivid, crazy dreams for weeks or months on end, then it kind of calms down and goes back to what I would call a “normal” dreaming pattern of remembering some of my dreams some of the time. I don’t know it if has anything to do with age, but I will say this: I feel a lot older when I don’t get a good night’s sleep because I feel like I’ve been extrememly active and busy all night long!
