A good portion of my life has been spent searching for The Perfect Purse. Every time I think I find it, I come to the conclusion that there might be something better. Of course, sometimes what is “perfect” for one time in my life no longer serves the needs of a new time in my life. But at the moment, I have found something that works extremely well for me: the quilted knapsack.
I have one. The problem is, I’ve had it so long and used it so much, that it’s starting to fall apart. It’s time to upgrade, get a new one. Of course, at this moment, quilted knapsacks are not fashionable, not the latest style, not something that can easily be found in the stores. Believe me, I’ve looked everywhere. They are just not out there.
So I went to ebay, and I found just what I was looking for, and put in a bid…and I won! Here is a picture of what it will look like. It’s just like the one I have now, only a different color. It’s got a ton of pockets on every side, and even an additional small pocket inside, great for keeping everything organized. The straps are cloth, and not big and bulky, so it’s really comfortable to sling over your back. I thought the pink and orange tones would be very festive for Spring and Summer.
So in a little while my new quilted knapsack will be arriving…from China. Yep. I’m having something shipped to me, directly from China.
I love the internet.
Congrats on winning the bid!! The internet definitely is addicting!!! Hard to imagine what we did without it. Any chance of you getting back to facebook at all or did you give up on that completely?

I doubt I’ll really be spending too much time on Facebook. I have other places to go online that feel more “comfortable” for me. Sometimes I find Facebook confusing. I’m never really sure if I’m posting something on somebody’s wall, or sending a private message, or what. I may stop in from time to time, tho, just to look around.
e=bay
This is sooo weird. I too have just purchased an item on e-bay, won and will be receiving my item from Hong Kong. I bought a 10 K band with 5 square citrine stones in it. It is my keepsake for my precious Peanut. Citrine was his birthstone. He loved sitting in any nook or crook that your body could create. I felt this ring around my finger was the perfect reminder of how I love him. Buster got a ruby heart necklace. Well, I got it really. Buster stole my heart and I will always know that. His birthstone is Garnet but let me tell you, Garnet hearts don’t exist– even in internet-land. Hope you enjoy your knapsack. Yes, I too love what the internet can do for us. Terry
Re: e=bay
I got a notice that my knapsack shipped yesterday. Russ seems to think it could take weeks or even months to arrive, if it gets stuck in Customs. Let me know when your item arrives from Hong Kong. I’m interested to see how long it actually takes to get things from halfway around the world!
Re: e=bay
I got my ring from Hong Kong today. Not as bad shipping as I thought. Their sizeing must be off a bit. It said the ring was a 7 but I recieved a 6 or 6 1/2 at the most. Either way I can still wear it.
Re: e=bay
Congrats on your delivery, but…WAAAH! I’m still waiting for mine. And yes, that is a problem with ordering online, you never know if it’s going to be exactly right, exactly “as pictured.” But there are a lot of things that work out very well.
For instance, I LOVE Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea, but can’t find it in the local stores. So I just ordered it from Amazon at exactly the same price as I would pay in the store, and with free shipping and handling! Woo hoo!
Shipping to other countries
Hey, we ship at least once a week to another country. Mostly small items (4-10oz)… on the rare occasion an item has gotten stuck in customs, but most times it takes a week to 10 days. I would bet you have your new purse before Valentines day.
Take Care,
Brother John
