ABSOLUTLY, thats got to be one of my favorite Star Wars quotes…and thats saying quite a lot considering I practically worship the movie, 😉 .
We did these Pulp Fiction-esc translation of Star Wars quotes on one of the boards I belong to…I think the “translation” for this quote was something along the lines of “this is my kinda place!”
The best one was a perverted “This is the ship that did the Kessal Run in less that 12 parsecs”:
“uhh, my car can do the Indy 500 in 200 miles”

As one Star Wars fan to another, (and not knowing how good you are with science), you may or may not know that one of the interesting things about that Kessel Run quote is that it seems to be saying the ship did the run in a certain amount of TIME—wouldn’t you think that’s what it’s saying? But actually, scientific types have informed me, a “parsec” is a measurement of DISTANCE, not time. So it’s kind of like saying, “I can drive from here to California in only 3,000 miles!” Duh…So your translation about doing the Indy 500 in 200 miles is really kind of catching the spirit of the goof. But who cares? It’s a great quote, especially when closely followed by, “What’s the cargo?” “Myself, the boy, two droids…and no questions asked!” I can still do portions of this completely from memory!
yeah, I knew that it was a measurement time, but we were having fun and it was one of the first things I remembered…
hahaha, I know what you mean! I can quote every movie inside and out, front to back…probably including all huttsese lines. 😀 😀 😀
Apperantly, (I am reading a book called MedStar: Battle Surgeons with Padawan Barriss Offee, a friend of Anakin), Star Wars authors universally accept the phrase “e chu ta” as an actual Huttsese insult. Am going to make a point to use that from now one 😀 .
