UPDATE ABOUT MOM

Terry sends this text:

I did not get to see Mom today. Dad said they are adjusting her medications and her pulse and blood pressure are leveling off. She has two doctors seeing her. One says put the pacemaker in, the other says do not. She says since she is leveling off, she will wait with it. She should be home by tomorrow.

I agree not to jump into something if all the doctors are not in agreement that it’s the best thing to do, especially if other methods are beginning to work. Sounds like time will tell. I’ll keep you posted.

That is a tough call………….what to do? I guess the final decision rests with the patient. I pray she will be OK and will go home tomorrow and recover quickly.

    Chris, thanks for the updates.

    Love, Aunt Barbara

I spoke a little to Dad this morning and he said the doctor’s may think the pulse thing was just a mixup in the medication. If that’s all it was then that’s a good sign indicating nothing is really wrong.

He did say something that she may not be home till after Christmas though as she seems to have some lung congestion – something like that. Maybe the start of a cold? Hope to get more information in the morning.

Well this seems to be the classic case of “good news and bad news.” I hope she is not developing pneumonia again. Keep me updated if you hear anything more. Thanks, James!
