About Me

I am a very small cog in an enormous wheel. I am content to live my life in relative invisibility. My world is very small, and I don’t mind it at all.

I grew up in New York, moved to Florida when I was 15. Two years later, while still in high school, my eyes were opened to the enormous love God has for me and I accepted His gift of living forever with Him in Heaven, because Jesus His son died as a payment for all the stupid sinful things I’ve ever done, and the sometimes stupid, sinful person I am. Throughout my life I have remembered this and then temporarily forgotten it, and let myself become distracted by nonsense, but the MOST wonderful thing about God is His eternal grace and faithfulness, which keeps finding me, almost despite myself.

I went to college, got married, had two wonderful kids, then got divorced. I recently met Russ, my soulmate, and moved from Florida to Alabama to be with him. We got married in September 2007, bought a house, and now, by the grace of God, are living quiet, peaceful lives…very much like Hobbits.

I hope this blog will be a way to help me stay in touch with everyone in my life—past and present—and a way to document what the future holds in store for me!

Hello cousin. I hope you receive this. Long time no hear. Hope all is well with you and your family. Been thinking about everyone lately. Remembered your website when my mom died.

Hi, Carol! How are you?? I know how that gets sometimes, thinking about everyone from the past. And the older you get, the more “past” there is to think about! Sometimes I look back and feel like I must have been at least a dozen different people or so during the course of my life. My memory is not always so good, but there are some things I’ll never forget—for instance, your mother’s laugh (BIG laugh!!, and your brother having a rock band in the basement, lol! All those family picnics, those were good times. Miss them, but now are good times too. Hope all is well with you! Maybe if Russ and I get to visit in Florida some time we can stop and visit with you!

      Love, Chrissy
